Sometimes a mum just needs a break!

Being a busy working Mum is not easy, its comes with daily surprises and no matter how much you think you are on top of everything there will always be something thrown at you that you did not expect. I am a big believer of putting myself first. If you are functioning at 100 percent, everything else in life is so much easier. A Mummies retreat is just what we all need.

I arrived at Amatara resort located in Phuket, Thailand in desperate need of some me time and this is exactly what I got. The resort offers something different to other’s and allows the whole family to stay and do different things. You can choose to do one of their wellness programs, check the kids in to the kids’ club and hubby can relax by the pool.

There are several different wellness programs that can range from three to seven days, you sit with a member of staff and work out what you would like to get the most of this retreat. Some of the activities include a private yoga, spa treatments, healthy Thai cooking classes or a fitness regime.

My choice was the fitness program including private yoga, Muai Thai lessons with a professional champion and of course I thoroughly enjoyed being pampered with a daily massage and the most incredible hammam.

I left Amatara feeling recharged, revived with a clear vision on what I wanted to action next. Sometimes you just need to get away for things to become clear and this was a great example of that.
